I enable it pushing the button in the lynkis menu, and now I cant use my laptop to connect, I dont remember if I clicked something or what, when I logg in it sayis that there is some connection problem, ad that it has some restrictions (when I put the wep key, a new one I made)
what did I do to cause this? and how cn I fix it

ok so i have a mac and it is wireless internet ready and i pick up signals every now and then and i get a weak internet signal, like for free, but then i lose it, it comes up on my list of servers. now my boyfriend is talking about getting a stronger wifi card, would that help me pick up stronger free signals?

I have a Lynkis router, green.... G .....
so how do I enable my router's security , I have a laptop and well i use it a lot, but I would not like some one using MY Wi-Fi. it said easy secure, but I still couldnt figure it out...

(also is there a way to see the devices that have used my Wi-Fi, from my router? if so how)

There are services that send e-mail for you, or mail to their safelists. I am looking for a mail list company that post "my" e-mail information to their mail list. One that is honest, (post to someone other than me), I should not have to be on the mailing list to have my e-mail forwarded.

I have a desktop computer with a wireless router. I have a laptop computer with a Linksys wireless card. I have another laptop computer with a built-in wireless card. All three computers connect to the Internet, the 2 laptops do so wirelessly.

How do I set up my three computers so that they can recognize one another as being on the same network? Can this be done wirelessly, at the very least, can the 2 laptops "see" each other? I'd like to be able to transfer files from one laptop to the other, but leverage the wireless connection.

I'm running Windows on all 3 computers.

I am in need of help I purchased a laptop from a friend and it had c:\ drive formatted so the cd-rom won't work cause of no driver and it dos'nt have a:\ so I purchased a usb to serial port cable and a lpt port extension the usb plugs into my desktop computer and lpt end plugs into laptop but my desktop wont recognize serial cable I need this to recognize my laptop to install cd-rom driver to install os someone please help

the bottom menu thing says that there is no signal in three different icons... one says "not connected", one says "a network cable has been unplugged," and one says "networkcable unplugged, wireless connection unavailable"

But the thing is my linksys is workin fine, it is turned on and everything and is workin, and it is working to connect my upstairs pc to the internet and is workin for the downstairs one that its connected to. So its not the linksys, its the laptop. did i accidently change settings or something? did the chip that recieves the signal gert fried or somethnig from the laptop overheating? its BRAND NEW and i got it on christmas, so it shouldnt be not working. thanks for any info you can provide me, i appreciate it! =]

Is it possible to use a CAT6 Network Cable with a CAT5/5e Coupler? Will the connection still be good or will it drop significantly b/c of the mismatched cable and coupler? Also, is it a must to have the cable and the coupler gold-plated or can I do without? Thanks in advance!...
