cant connect to my wireless d link, ive been tryna sort this 4 .... 5 weels lol, i give in can sum one help my computer is running with b/band and lights are flashing on webstar and on the dlink router power is on status is flashing ,wan is on wlan is flashing1 is flashing and 2 3 4 are unlit

don't wish to offend but have had similar calls from customers in the past.

some lap tops eg. acer have a stupid button on the front that needs to be pressed to turn wifi on. with out that being on doesn't matter what you do in windows.

if you have already done this then try to connect to the router using an ethernet cable.

can any one else connect to the router via wifi- can you connect to any other networks???

Make sure your network adapter(s) on your laptop are enabled: go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager and look under Network Adapters. Your wired adapter will say 10/100 ethernet, wireless will say Wireless. Make sure they say they are enabled and working properly. Try wired first, and if that works you can try wireless. If you aren't getting an IP address assigned by the router, make sure it has DHCP enabled.
