The modem is free when you order the DSL service. You may wish to pay extra for a wired ($60) or wireless ($80) router to support multiple computers.

a basic which is for connection is 50 $ with a rebate of 50 $ comes out free
whereas a wireless router(modem)with up to 4 computer fcan connect cost 80$ with a 50$ modem cost 30$
i siuggest if ur goin 2 connect more than 1 computer u shuld get the wireless 1
iahve the wireless router
4 desktps connected and 3 wireless labtops

you dont necessarily need a SBC DSL Modem for your connection to work, you can always just buy one seperate....At&t should provide you with a replacement, if your planning on selling it ...i'll
say about hmm...$80 ?

It comes free. Well, technically, there's a cost that you get a full rebate on. If I recall correctly, it's in the neighborhood of $40 or $50.
