Booted up yesterday and this little pop-up appeared. I clicked on the ok then my little darlin' computer (that's not what I usually call it) shut down ~ booted up clicked on ok again ~ shut down ~ booted up.....you get the picture This went on for at least 6 more times (I'm persistant) then my little darlin' decided to stay on I found out my modem was disconnected from my ISP.
I did my usual and reset the modem and viola I'm up and running. The question is what caused it? I haven't downloaded anything new (I have been warned) I haven't installed any new hardware least of all a new modem so what's causing this problem also a new popup Microsoft recovering from system error???

I bought it yesterday and installation was supposed to take 20 minutes. However, I tried for hours, to no avail. The installation CD kept instructing me to hook up my BellSouth DSL modem to the router using the ethernet cables; however, my normal DSL connection is through a blue cable hooked to my USB port on my laptop. The other end of the USB cable does not have an outlet that fits into the ports on the router. When I tried to use the extra ethernet cables that came with my DSL modem, I cannot connect to the internet. Is there a wireless router out there with a port that will accept my USB-connected cable, or am I supposed to be able to connect to the internet using the ethernet cable also. Please help!! I have packed the router back up to return to the store when I get off work!!!

One of the ADSL routers is wireless. I am only trying to do this because the other router allows me to make free phone calls in the evening.

Ok, I have a question. There is a certain site that I want to make 2 accounts for. But, they only allow one account. I think how they inforce this rule is to take your ip address down, and if you try to make another account, it knows that your doing this.

Now I heard that if you had a dynamic ip address, that that would be true. Does having a dynamic ip address change your ip address all the time? Would I be able to make another account with this site?
