Talk Talk are the worst isp i have ever encountered
do you mean that the modem connection drops or the wifi.
does this happen when you use the ethernet cable.
if the wifi is dropping then turn off encryption on the router first. to do this enter the router's web interface- poss 192.168.1.1
if you still have problems then change the broadcast channel.
if your problem is accessing certain sites eg ebay login then download drtcp and lower the mtu settings on the laptop.
if the modem is cutting out then take the rest of the week off and try to get through to customer services and ask themt o check the line for noise, sync issues etc. Then when they fail to help you cancel your contract and join blueyonder- the only good isp that i am aware of- only ever had one customer with blueyonder problems- resolved within 10minutes

I have talk talk, there Internet connection does drop every now and then they say its when they are updating their lines. But also there is another thing, on my belkin router there was a menu on the actual set up page for your modem called IDLE TIME, this HAS TO BE set to 0 OR 999 (minutes), if it is set to anything else it means the modem will automaticaly disconnect from the internet after that certain period of time if nobody is using it. To get to this menu type in your modems ip, or however you get onto the main set up page, like for example a Belkins modems set up page is 192.168.2.1 and then you should go onto the menu "Connection Type"!!

How long has your router been left on for? I had a similar problem with my Belkin card and a D-Link Wireless modem, and switching the modem off and on again cleared it - apparently it's good to reboot it every few days.

Hi,
I had this problem with Wanadoo. The card obviously doesn't have they required speed to connect to the wireless network. Just check this. Also do you have a network key. This is required to connect to a secure home or office network.

short answer is not any. A instantaneous card for the computing device is the only way and that they are fairly not that costly. of direction if an ethernet cord could be run to the triumphing router that is ok too because of the fact the computing device probably already has a LAN port.

If it is dropping out and reconnecting sporadically, or coming up wiht "limited connectivity" try toggling the authenitcation properties for "enable IEEE 802.1x"
