Ok, I have a question. There is a certain site that I want to make 2 accounts for. But, they only allow one account. I think how they inforce this rule is to take your ip address down, and if you try to make another account, it knows that your doing this.

Now I heard that if you had a dynamic ip address, that that would be true. Does having a dynamic ip address change your ip address all the time? Would I be able to make another account with this site?

Ok. 2 people have answered, but let me explain further. I know that it has been said that your i.p. address can be used to know where someone lives (that powerful). I know that a lot of sites will actually grab your ip address (they will say you are 124.12.22.33 or whatever), and they will say that are tracking this and you will not be able to make 2 accounts, or somesites will be like we don't tolerate fraud and they will tell you we are recording your ip address or whatnot. My question to you is how do I get around this, I don't know exactly what dynamic ip address is, but I would like the ip address that people can grab from you, I would like that to change frequently.

It changes it occasionally. I find the more I turn off my connection the more often the ip changes. It doesn't change while I'm onlne (I would say on averege my ip changes once a week).

There's also a program I use called Anonymizer, which fools most sites, by running my ip through their servers, but I've found that it doesn't fool everyone.

You can download a trial version of this software. When you use this software it shows a fake ip address. http://www.anonymizer.com/consumer/products/anonymous_surfing/

You can keep track of your ip by looking at one of these sites:

I think IP address is not the problem.
Mostly Dynamic IP goes on changing.
The cookie set up identifies your computer.
How they identify you ? by email address or IP address ?
1. Delete the cookie for the particular site and try.
2. Or go to your friend's computer and register.
if he is not interested in the site. and
try to log on with new identity/password
