Did you remember to change the WEP key on the laptop when you changed it on the router???

Most routers have some kind of a reset button that is hidden behind a small hole you have to push with a pin or bent end of a paper clip. This will revert the router back to the factory defaults. Do not ever run a wireless network without WPA security. Somebody mooching your Internet service can do many nasty things and you would be blamed for it. Set a WPA key and guard it with your life.

in order to use that feature, you need a linksys adapter as well as the linksys router. Pushing that button generates a new security key.

open your routers web interface but going to http://192.168.1.1 and entering in your username and PW. You may have to connect with a cable to do this if your wireless isnt working.

Click on wireless security and the newly generated key will eb there. Add that to your wireless card (or enter a new one that you'll remember) and you should be all set.

If worst case scenario, you can always rest the router to the factory defaults by using the reset button on the back of the router.

Read your router's docs. They will explain it all in detail.
