the situation is if i pay 175 dollars more i can upgrade from a 2.00GHz 4MB to a 2.16GHz 4MB....is it worth it?

i want to play games but only a .16 difference doesnt seem worth $175 to me......what do u think?

Very slow loading or blank pages. Worst of all, I can`t `run` anything after I have downloaded it! Not even window`s updates.
Every programme I download (to try and fix this problem) won`t run, and has this message ...........is not a valid win32 application.
So what is stopping them from `running` and installing!?
Grateful for any tech-help with this prob, as it is a catch22 situation - how can I correct the fault if I can`t `run` a repair prog?

My CPU is a Pentium D, with two 3.6ghz processors. it says that my system is 64 bit capable, i currently have installed Vista Ultimate 32bit, but i only got 30 days,and i didnt buy it yet. I might either buy Ultimate or Home Premium Edition? I heard that Vista Ultimate delivers performance more than Home Premium Edition? and if either should i get 32bit or 64bit? iam mostly a internet user and gamer. AND DOES VISTA 64BIT SUPPORT 32BIT PROGRAMS/GAMES ETC..

I love watching deron williams play ball and i cant download any from limewire i also went to youtube and tryed downloading it off of vixy.net and i cant seem to get the video only the sound. I am going to nova scotia in about 3 weeks and i want to try to get them on my psp, is there any thing that i can go on so that this will work. is there any program that i can download that is better then limewire like maybe morphius for instance. if you know how i can accomplish this PLease,Please tell me how and i promise to choose ur answer as best answer. thanks and have a great day

I've got a netgear wireless home router where my mac mini is connected directly to my modem and a Powerbook connected via Airport. Until today, everything was fine, but all of a sudden, my signal strength on my powerbook went down to near-zero. I'd like to make sure someone isn't stealing my signal, so how do I encrypt or protect my router signal?

So, it's pretty much summertime now and throughout the winter my graphics cards would be pretty much at a steady 50-60 degrees. But now that the weather is warmer it's now idling at 89 degrees. My computer has 2 case fans and there's a fan on each of my video cards(SLI). I don't have the money to upgrade to a better cooling system at the moment, and when i play battlefield 2, 10 minutes into the game the graphics gets really laggy and the fps goes down to like 3-5. So my question would be, are there any settings that will reduce the temp of my video cards by giving it less of a workload? I don't want them to overheat or anything, that would suck. thanks in advance!

Every single time i open a page to a website i get this messege:
"This page provides potentially unsafe information to an ActiveX control. Your current security settings prohibit running controls in this manner. As a result, this page may not run correctly"
It's really driving me crazy. It doesn't matter what website it is i get this messege. Does anyone know how i can fix it?

My mom is wanting to get a notebook. It's been a while since I've researched them and had some quick questions. My mom knows nothing about computers so it's all up to me.

I'm looking into Dell. I've had wonderful experience with them even when had computer problems so customer service isn't a concern there. Mac won't work cause I'm not as familiar with them and I will be my mom's go-to person.

The computer will mostly be used for internet so high graphic cards etc aren't needed.

Now here are my questions:

Is an AMD Turion processor ok or should we stick with Intel? Is the Intel Core ok? I've not heard much on them.

Is Vista ok? I know Quickbooks won't work on it but are there still any other major issues?

Anything else I need to be aware of?

I have a new PC with2 x 512 MB DDR2 533mhz memory.
I also have 2 x 512MB DDR PC2100 from my old pc.

should I install the old memory in my machine? will it be faster or slower with the 2GB of mixed (slower) memory than with 1GB of fast memory?

Well...I have windows xp...And on my computer i click hard drive C:, i have about 101 MB and it goes lower throughout the time. Eversince i installed quest internet it has been eating up all of my space every day. im scared that my computer will crash. I do not want to reformat my computer or else i would delete me itunes...and i don't want my songs deleted...How do i free up disk space...because everyday i delete pictures, cookies, mp3s, etc.

I'm trying to do an eventHandler for my yahtzee program. When the user clicks a dice I want a label under it to display "hold." This is the procedure I wrote:

A blue line shows up under pic1.click and says I need a raise event procedure or something. What am I doing wrong?

Okay...I went to install Mac OSX x86 (for developers) and in the instructions I were given read..."...the setup may look like it hangs but you will hear you hard drive working..." I left the room to let it do its thing and I went back to find Windows dreaded Blue Screen of Death. I pressed in the power button on my PCs tower to shut the computer down...I turned it back on to find that the computer will not boot into Windows or the new "Mac OS" I installed. My computer is now worthless and is a paper weight. It will not enter into BIOs or anything...does anyone have a solution that will NOT cost me money? It is very important that I get this computer running again even if I lose all of my files...

about a month ago my friend's computer got infected with a virus. every so often a blue screen would appear saying fatal error must shut system down, and somthing else about memory loss, so my friend's mom called the company and they told her instead of getting a new computer , just wipe everything out and restore it as if it were new....so basicly she lost all her pictures and documents, but she didnt care, but i just don't know how to do it for my computer because mine is doing the same thing. if someone could help me i'd be extremly greatful!
