the situation is if i pay 175 dollars more i can upgrade from a 2.00GHz 4MB to a 2.16GHz 4MB....is it worth it?

i want to play games but only a .16 difference doesnt seem worth $175 to me......what do u think?

No, stick to the 2.00, use that money for extra memory instead

It may not only be the processor upgrade you'll need for gaming. You need to take a look at your RAM as well. It depends on the minimum system requirements of the games you want to play (more on RAM below). Other things to consider are the graphics card, sound card, etc.

You can see if your computer can handle more RAM by going to Crucial.com and running a scan.

Some security products are resource hogs. There are a few that don't need as many system resources to run. You can check the amount of current RAM you have (right click My Computer, Properties, General - RAM listed at the bottom).

Also remember that everything takes RAM. Not only security products but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word, Gaming, Messenger etc) all require system resources.

It is not worth it. It is a waste to make you pay $175 more for .16. That would be a rip off.
