I'd have to go with Norton. But, if your looking for a free one...AVG Free Edition works well also. Also, you can get a 30 day free trial of Norton if you go to their website.

the bigger the company the better the anti virus, because the company's that make the anti viruses put the viruses out there in the first place . i.e if Norton put a virus out there they have a anti virus for it straight away so it dose not affect people with Norton, but it does affect everyone else in till the other company's catch up .making Norton then look better than the others one ,it a big money spinner .

The best anti-virus program pretty much depends on personal preference. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

PC Magazine currently rates Norton Antivirus as #1.

The lesser known antivirus programs like Kaspersky, AVG, and NOD32 are also very good.

Norton dose not seem to be the best anymore. Every year their new programs are getting worst instead of better. I do not know what the best program is but anything has to be better then norton.

In my opinion, Avira Antivir is the best anti-virus program because it is comprehensive, easy to use, and it is FREE. However, some others to consider are Norton, Symantec, etc.

The best antivirus program is a matter of opinion only. Some people think it's AVG. Some people think it's Mccaffee. I myself think it's Norton Antivirus.
