will i be able to see all channels that i see on regular tv using a tv tuner card ?does this need internet connection [ hope its not ] ? what should i give it as input ?the same regular cable wire or does i need anything else ?pls have patience to answer these much questions!thx a lot , pals!

My mother has a new computer and needs to use e:mail for her job. Her telephone company is OneTel. She is in Northants, UK. She is an absolute technophobe. I have tried setting her up with tiscali and that is difficult to log on to, so, need something else. Please suggest something simple for her. Light user. Thanking you in anticipation of answers. Basically on the webpage, there will be a free text field at the top of the page with a submit button, so when you write something in this field and hit submit, it updates a table or something below it with what was written in the free text field.

my laptop sony vaio was working fine until the battery started to fail . i have to have it replaced but the problem was that before i replced it , the coputer shot off by it self because it didnt have any juice left and that cause a problem because i can not open windows anymore.
a black screen tells me that i need to enter the windows CD or something, wich i dont have by the way
also says press R ?? !! BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS
MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I BUY TAHT WINDOWS CD THAT IS ASKING ME FOR OR WHAT ?
ALSO I DONT WANNA LOOSE ALL THE DATA THAT I HAVE !!!

I have lived with windows ME ever since it came out. I just bought a computer with XP on it..... How Do I change the wll paper?

With ME I just right clicked on the desktop and did so that way. Apparently though, it does not work this way with xp. How do I change it?

If my pc has been unused for a while, even minutes at times, it freezes upon trying to logon. I have to reboot everytime to use it. Also I always get a popup that says "Some startup programs have been blocked". I've clicked on the popup and it has the item that is blocked, but I don't recognize it so I won't open it.
