it goes to this screen that says there was a 'fatal system error' and windows has to shut down. that happens everytime i start adaware. what is causing this?

This only happens with one of my friends everybody else sent jokes and the're complete. You know what I mean just pictures with jokes but no pictures. I get blank squares where the picture is suppose to be.

all of a sudden one day these pop ups startin poppin up. and i have this fake notification button on my toolbar sayin i should get a virus scan from a website. obviously, if i click the button, ill get a real virus and/or spyware.

plus i already had norton anti virus. the real thing, i bought it when i got my computer. when the pop ups first started occuring, it said i had a virus but then it removed it and every time i do a scan with norton, it says i have no viruses or anything.

but i still have that toolbar button that says i should get a scan from a website. and i still get pop ups.

and these pop ups rnt just when im surfin the web, it happens when i dont do anything

I need to buy a new laptop, but I have heard bad things about VISTA, and most importantly, I have heard that it wont work with old games. I would really like to buy a new laptop, but all of the ones that I have seemed to find have vista, and I was wondering where I could buy a new, fast one with xp, or if I just need to hang on for a few more months, until the kinks get worked out of vista?

Can someone PLEASE help me with my computer? When i put the arrow on the icons on the toolbar, the words hide behind the toolbar so I'm not able to read it..I'm talking about the icons on the toolbar when I want to know what they are. Someone told me to click on properties and auto-hide the taskbar..Is that true? And if anyone of you got an AIM screen name, that would REALLY help..But please someone help me!

2.00 GB of ram ......
Geforce2 mx/mx.........
CONNECTION INFO....
sbc speedstream modem...
3008 Kbps(down stream)
512 Kbps( upstream)

if ne of that info helps ... i also clean my computer alot.. defrad... disl clean up... use that AVG free virus.... spybot S&D... and ad-ware removal.... THANKS ne help on how to make it go faster???

I bought this http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/RangeMaxNextWirelessAdapters/WN121T.aspx and the guy at best buy said you could send out the Internet Connection through USB. I have been playing around with it but I need some help. I had PSP Wifi Max but it broke so I know it can be done.
