Why do I get email from my friends with no pictures in a joke when its sent.?

This only happens with one of my friends everybody else sent jokes and the're complete. You know what I mean just pictures with jokes but no pictures. I get blank squares where the picture is suppose to be.

I know that "Hotmail", will block or delete certain HTML's or pictures when email is sent to hotmail account. All you get is a little "square". I have found that if I double click on the "square", the picture will open.
