Simple solution, but get ready to do some taking apart. You need to take part the laptop and get to the CMOS chip. It's a small lithium battery. Take it out, and wait a while then put it back. Put the laptop back together and that will flash the BIOS password. That is the only way if you dont know it. It's a pain if you dont know what you're doing, so i'd suggest to get someone with a little IT knowledge to help. Good luck

I have simply removed the "jumpers" across the small pins on the motherboard. This worked on a bunch of old Zeniths I got from a school dumpster. I have heard you can remove the battery from the motherboard and the computer will reset to no password.

If the motherboard battery is removeable (flat silver battery) then do so and leave it out for a few hours. If it is the solder on type (looks like a small barrel) hunt for a jumper on the board that is labeled for the battery.
This will allow the BIOS to die back to factory defaults.

Heres my easy solution...open up the tower and pull out the CMOS battery. It's a round flat battery that you can easy locate on the motherboard. Pop it out for 5-10mins and pop it back in, close up, start up and the password is gone.

Stop buying someone else's crap. Get off your butt and get a real job and you can afford a nice new Acer laptop with HD and Vista and 2GB RAM like me. Hahahaha.
Shut up, I only said that because I know him. And yeah, I know it doesn't answer his question, it's a thing we have. Deal with it.
