The anti-virus stuff eats up a lot of resorces. Try deleting all that is not vital.

Also your graphics card might need an update.

Better Graphics card might work. Gf2 mx is pretty old chipset. Other than that 3.0 Ghz procesor is good. What's the speed of your ram? What is the speed of your hard drive? Are you running applications that cache to your hard drive alot? You can look at perfmon data: type start - run -> perfmon. Look at Memory Pages per Sec, and Disk Queuing. Hopefully that helps!

Look into tweaking
for example, go to Control Panel>System>Advanced>Settings (the first one)> one mine, and all the computers i work on, i uncheck all but the bottom 3 and the 6th one from the bottom.

You really can't make it going faster without upgrading hardware or overclocking, all you can do is make it more responsive, you also might look into a 3rd party defragmenter, like JKDefrag, be sure to read how to use it, or it won't work right :P good luck

You have to cook it on the grill and marinate it with BBQ sauce. Once it's a nice green color, slap it with a fly swatter while smashing it against your car. The last step is a pretty hard one, rape it (it's really not hard, I've tried it!).

When you are OFFLINE, you could make it go faster by turning off the AVG and anti-spyware.
Otherwise, it looks like you have done everything you can.
