I've heard from a few people that Windows Vista is cracking down on Limewire users? Is this true? Is using both Vista and Limewire a more dangerous combination than Windows XP and Limewire? What's going? What's all the talk about?

Hey,
Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://bit.ly/VMemFU

I love Limewire and I'm an avid user. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. you should get limewire too. It's a good peer to peer software if you have to download mp3, movies, videos or file.
Limewire is a safe and reliable program but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. You always have to be cautious about what you download.
Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.
I strongly recommend it.
Have a nice day

Hi,

I was having the same problems. I just disabled McAfee security centre (through-task manager-processes, there were two processes running for McAfee), I got it free with my new laptop. I had allowed limewire full access through McAfee and it seemed to be still blocking it. Limewire works perfectly again.

Yippeeee!

P.S. Of course I have another an anti virus and firewall installed from www.download.com

Limewire is PACKED full of garbage. If you use it, on any windows O/S you are guaranteed to get infected with spyware/malware and viruses. You will soon see your computer's speed get progressively slower and slower. And unless you know how to clean your registry, DUMP Limewire.

dude seriously go to your limewire and uninstall it right now. there is sooooo much crap on there its not funny. i used to use limewire but i found out that i had like over 100sum viruses. hacking google is alot easier and safer lol. if your going to use lime wire use peer guardian. it should help get rid of the filth that you get with those downloads.

YES it does work!!

Uninstall the old version of Limewire from your system from the control panal (duh).

Then get the latest version from www.Limewire.com and install it do not attempt to install the new version OVER your old one because it won't work.
