Most of the time when it ask to enter a windows CD. It is because it want to use that CD tas a boot disk. Just find a used copy of the windows CD that is the same as the windows on your computer and just stick it in and turn laptop back on. It will boot it up and the laptop will be fine. If you cant find a windows CD then contact me, I have a friend thats in the computer biz. He will let me have anything cheap. chriswh90@yahoo.com

Whoa, CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL. ANYWAYS, I have a Vaio laptop VGN FE790G, which has died out the same as your pc. However, it has NEVER asked me to install any cd's or anything, ever. It would help more if you actually wrote the message and posted it in your question.

What exactly did you do? Do you get the same "message" with your AC plugged in??????
