The repair is at least $2000 and the value of a good 98 Lumina LTZ is $1800-$3000 (trade in vs. private sell). What is the best thing to do with it?

I have so many deep scratches on the sides of my car. I've been planning to get some rubbing compound and experiment it with a buffer to try to remove the scratches, but i'm afraid i'm going to mess everything up. So is it possible that a an Auto Car shop will be able to do all of this for me ? If so, how much would it generally cost including the service fee ?

Its a corsa B and Ive narrowed the search for alloys down to either wolfrace suzuka (offset 40) or TSW Freeze (offset 35). Or could either be fitted? Any help appreciated.

hi, i just came from the mechanic, i had a few things done but one of the things they said was wrong was i needed new engine mounts. i have a '93 Ford Taurus. they showed me how the engine was moving back and forth, but they didnt say it had to be fixed right away. i also read online that most engine mounts only last about 60K miles so most people are riding around with bad mounts. if thats the case, do i really need to get it fixed? the guy said its going to cost around $300 for parts and labor. id rather go buy a new radio and speakers for my car. im only 17 and i dont have a job yet so $300 isnt easy to come by. thanks.

Always scared I'm gonna over-inflate and blow the tire. I know the info I need is on the tire, but I'm not sure how to apply it. Pressure gauge should match pressure within????

I just bought a brand new Mazda 3 last night. I love the car but noticed when slowing down from speeds of any thing over 20 mph the steering wheel shakes and feels like the brakes are pulsating. Does this mean it needs new brakes or the routers are warped? The car did have 60 miles on it, I am sure been test driven a lot. Not sure if its just how the car is or if I should call the dealer.

Hi guys, I j ust bought a gloss black nissan 350z and I am wondering what you guys would use to wash it and shine it up tires/paint/interior etc. and also what time of day you'd do this. I have heard to do it in the morning or as the sun is going down, but I am not sure which is true. Thanks a lot guys!!!

The wire harness (in my Ford Escort) connects to a relay. I need to move a wire/terminal from one slot to another, inside the harness. I can't seem to figure out how it clips in there. Usually there's a little clip that can be pushed to release the wire. Hmmm. The harness has a red top to it, maybe this needs to be popped off first.

My Montana van (2000) won't start after I have used the air on a hot day. It will keep going, it doesn't stall, but when you shut it off and go to restart it (say I have gone into a store for instance and a little while later go to leave and it won't start) I have to let it sit for awhile (how long, I am not sure), but this is the second time it has happened and I am now convinced that is has something to do with using the air on a hot day. Because I haven't used the air at all on a hot day since it did it the last time. And sure enough, it happened again. What could this problem be? If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

I know it isn't the air pressure. The ride seems fine. Is it my struts/shocks? How much for parts? Is it a DIY job?
