The wire harness (in my Ford Escort) connects to a relay. I need to move a wire/terminal from one slot to another, inside the harness. I can't seem to figure out how it clips in there. Usually there's a little clip that can be pushed to release the wire. Hmmm. The harness has a red top to it, maybe this needs to be popped off first.

Remove the red plastic insert, it is the lock for the terminals. You can pull it out with a sharp tool such as an O-ring pick, once it is out there is a little lock tab that needs to be gently pried back allowing the terminal to be pulled out, them just push it into the new slot and re-assemble the connector.
