Every time i go through a drive-thru or just let my car sit in place for more than a minute or so at a time, the hot/cold sensor moves up towards hot, it doesn't go into the red zone, but up enough towards hot to make me worry. By the way i just had the engine coolant flushed out, and completely refilled....any ideas why it might be running hot when i just sit still??

Number seven is not a factor of 360. Inevitably there will be an error in the pitch of the spokes. This will affect the balancing of the car at higher speed. An unavoidable error can be corrected by adding a balancing weight. But why this intentional error?

Autozone let me use their scanner. It showed code PO420. They said it could be the O2 sensor or catalytic converter or even a vacuum leak. The O2 sensor is $108.00. I hate to replace the O2 sensor and find out it's the converter. Also there are two O2 sensors. One before the converter and one after. Any suggestions?

I have a '99 Suburban with about 155,000 miles on it. I'm currently using a 10-30 designed for use with older engines. Problem is, my mechanic said he thinks a rod is starting to go bad, and suggested going to a straight 30. I respect his judgement; hes knowledgeable and honest, but I just feel funny about using a single weight oil as opposed to a multi. Should I stay with what I have, or follow his suggestion-or is there a better option?

Its a 2000 Ford Taurus that I just bought. All the other locks work just not the drivers one. It doesn't lock automatically when I get to 15mph, it doesn't lock or unlock when I hit the power lock buttons and it doesn't work with the button thing on my keychain. Is there anything simple that may cause this?

it is a 6, the fuel pressure is 38 psi not 8. It is a multi port fuel injection, no spark at the plug. the diagnostic code was 12, 12. I switched the 6 pack with computer and coils so they are good. It seems that there is a break in the starting circuit but I do not know where to look for it, or maybe something else. it's a 2.8 PF1 1988 buick regal.

The door locks for my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country stopped working. I can't unlock my doors with my remote or from the inside, using the "lock/unlock" botton. Does anyone know what I need to do? Please don't say "call the dealership" as I don't feel like paying $100 for a $2 part. I checked the fuse panel, but not one of the fuses or relays are specific to the door locks.

Hello. I recently asked this question:

"Hi. I own a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer, and the turn signals and the hazards stopped working yesterday. I took the truck back out later in the day and they worked again. Now today, they've stopped working again. Why would this happen?"

And with the answers I got, we pretty much narrowed the problem down to a bad flasher.

I bought a new flasher today from an auto parts store and went to install it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find where the old one is. I've looked in the fuse box and it's not in there. The manual doesn't tell me either, and I can't seem to find any information on the internet.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate the help.

One year ago I received a 150cc, two seater go kart that has forward and reverse as a gift. There is NO TRANSMISSON on this go kart. Now whenever I accelerate or go uphill the engine misses or skips and acceleration is slower then when it was brand new. The oil was just changed and I suspect that it may be because the chain is too loose. The go kart has never been in an accident and has anywhere from 15 to 20 hours on it. Whoever knows something please help I would hate to find out that something is seriously wrong with the engine after all it is only one year old.

my engine light just started coming on and after I shut the engine off and restart the car, no engine light! What can this be? A few weeks ago I had a new upper radiator hose replaced and lost some of the antifreeze and didn't add more to replenish...could therre be a connection?
