it is a 6, the fuel pressure is 38 psi not 8. It is a multi port fuel injection, no spark at the plug. the diagnostic code was 12, 12. I switched the 6 pack with computer and coils so they are good. It seems that there is a break in the starting circuit but I do not know where to look for it, or maybe something else. it's a 2.8 PF1 1988 buick regal.

Check for open circuit at the starter where the fuse links connect.

Seems as if your not telling the story that lead up to the no start. Mistake like hooking up the jumper cables late at night and got them crossed?

with more info i will go with the crank sensor.
