My car has been running fine.. I went to leave and it won't start... It's a manual transmission.. .and when I try to start it, it just won't turn over. It's like if I was driving an automatic... I would just pump my gas a bit and it would start... but nothing is working for my car. any suggestions.. ?? I need to get to work in a couple hours here.

I'm pretty sure it's not the battery too. I just got a new one not even 6 months ago.

You're lucky it's a manual. Turn the key to on, then have someone push you and pop the clutch into gear.and the car should start. This is a short-term solution till you find out what's wrong with your starter. If the starter's going bad, another thing you can do is tap it with a hammer. Not too hard. Just enough to shake up the circuits in there. They go bad and then the starter dies, but can be made to work a little longer by tapping it... hopefully you'll have it replaced then.

There is also a sensor, that tells the computer whether or not you have the clutch pressed in. If this sensor wears out or breaks, you won't be able to start the car, because the car will think the clutch isn't pressed in which case starting the car while in gear would make it lurch. Older cars can still be made to lurch, but new cars have that switch on the clutch pedal to prevent being started without pressing the clutch.

Also try getting a code reader from the parts store and pulling the codes, that will tell us a lot more. Also what make/model year is the car?

It wont turn over... could be several things.
First thing I would try is that maybe its not in neutral for whatever reason. Make sure its in neutral and then push the clutch in anyway and try to start it. Could be any of the following things...( i got this from a repair manual)

1) Battery terminals lose or corrodded.
2) Battery discharged or faulty.
3) Broken, lose, disconnected wiring in the starting circuit.
4) Starter motor pinion jammed in flywheel ring gear.
5) Starter solenoid faulty.
6) Starter motor faulty.
7) Ignition switch faulty.
8) Starter pinion or flywheel teeth worn or broken.

i think ur starter motor is dead. when u start it, do u hear a clicking noise or a winding noise. if u hear a clicking noise ur batt is dead. thta shouldnt be the case though cuz ur batt is new.
if u dont hear any noise when u try to start, ur start motor is a goner. if its a winding noise, could be the battery. im assuming ur not hearing any noises and ur battery is decently new.

what the dude said above might also work.

Battery may be dead. Are the interior lights on or dim? Did you leave the headlights on last night, or not shut the door all the way?

clean your battery terminals, even if they don't look crusty, then goop them up with petroleum jelly, it will keep them from corroding.
