The door locks for my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country stopped working. I can't unlock my doors with my remote or from the inside, using the "lock/unlock" botton. Does anyone know what I need to do? Please don't say "call the dealership" as I don't feel like paying $100 for a $2 part. I checked the fuse panel, but not one of the fuses or relays are specific to the door locks.

It's probably a blown fuse, look in your owners manual that came with the car and see what fuse controls the locks or call the dealer partsman and ask him which fuse operates the door locks and he can look it up for you, also take the switch panel out of the door on the drivers side and see if a wire fell off of the lock button switch.

I think that your door lock actuators may have malfunctioned. I've seen a few of these cases and they are all from American cars. I would recommend using the key for the time being to unlock the doors but eventually, you are going to need to replace the actuators. Instead of going to the dealership, ask your friends for recommendations. Independent shops tend to cater to their customers with cheaper part prices than dealerships.

check the fuse panel for any blown fuses. the doors could be hooked to something else like the cigerett lighter. also make sure the fuse box is properly grounded to the chassis. then check fot broken wires

Sorry but you may have to take it to the dealer,it sounds like the door lock programmer is at fault, they can reprogram the key fobs, and scan it at the same time for body control module faults.Don't buy or replace parts until you are satisfied that they and you know what the problem is.
