I would start off by finding out if possible where the leak is coming from. Wipe off the excess fluid with a cloth. Do not use an aerosol or any type of cleaner (it could possibly dry out the hoses or seals). After you find the possible leak area - use what you learned, loose connection (tighten the connection,) wet hose (change hoses,) leaking, whining, or
plain broke (replace the pump).

The products that stop leak, usually are just going to soften the seals or rings, but in any case they rarely work and you are just prolonging the inevitable by using them.

also on the new purchases - another of my 2cents would be - spring for the new parts not the re-manufactured parts. That alone justifies the price.

Try Lucas power steering conditioner and stop leak first. If that doesn't cure the problem find the leak source and make necessary repairs.

I never use the "magic can" approach. Where is it leaking? Power steering rack? A rebuilt unit isn't super expensive. Best of luck. :-)=

Fix the problem, those additives will just cause more damage than what you already have.
