as the accelarator is raised, the throttle valve is actually actuated. now, as the engine revs up, does the throttle valve open up the air supply or does it increase the amount of fuel that is being sent into the cylinder?

A step back into time to make more money. No progress here. Money is on a higher priority than the environment ,regardless of record earnings.

I guess I'm having it checked, and then if I need my alignment corrected or treated, the shop will do it. How long should I expect to wait? Also, how long should paint on a car dry (hood and front bumper) before it's safe to be touched?

I posted the qurestion about seeing water coming out the underneath the car few days ago. thanks for all advise. I took a close look at the problem. I noticed that the water are dripping out from one of the muffler joint. Water came out after I moved the car after it parked for 2 days over the weekend. I saw the water coming out after I stopped the car before. I am worrying about why water coming out from the muffler pipe? Is it indicated a serious problem instead of just muffler leaking? Please advise. The car is a 2004 Jeep Liberty. Thanks for your help.

Do you think it would be possible to use certain cooking oils with high smoke points in place of standard 5w or 10w motor oil. Refined Avocado Oil and Safflower oil both have smoke points of over 500 degrees. Since care engines normally don't reach this point, do you think the engine could function properly running on these oils?

In my area, we have those 10-minute oil changing places that are great for busy people like myself. Although they do a good job, I am so sick of their marketing. I know as soon as I get comfortable in the waiting room that one of the employees will come out and tell me I should get this type of service of that thing changed, etc., etc. I just politely tell them another time. I'm only there for the oil change and that's it. They ramble on and on about it's good to do this to your car and that to your car. I once again say "another time." Anyone got any good remarks I can make when they badger me about their services? I know I can get those services done cheaper at my own car dealership if I need them done. I did say that to one of the guys once and he said I should get it done that day (while they were changing my oil) so my vehicle won't get any worse. Give me a break! My car is over 6 years old and only has 20,000 miles on it so I know I to take good care of my car.

I have a 99 jeep Grand Cherokee and all gauges work then they stop working, and the PW will stop working then work again? The car starts fine so don't think it's the battery. Also the door locks are working then not, they might work on one side and not the other? All the indicator lights are on like ABS, Check Engine, and the others? tecook@marathonoil.com
