I have that same problem. My nieghbor used to have a mechanic shop. He told me the sensor in the brake (emergency brake) needed to be adjusted. I just ignore the lights so not sure how much they would charge to adjust that for you. If the lights stay on then you have a problem with your brakes.

i own a repair shop, and sometimes it will come on,and warn you that the brakes are getting low on it,,other wise it may be the emergency brake light switch going bad on it,this will cause it to come on and ,make you think there's something bad wrong with it,its a small switch that mounts at the base of the emergency brake handle, and works when the brake is on,,but id say that's what it is,, there cheap and easy to repair its not a big expense ,but id have it checked just to be sure that's what it is doing it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

If you mean the brake warning light on the dashboard, check the fluid level - if fluid is OK, you've got a problem somewhere else in the braking system and I'd get it checked out ASAP. Unless it's the handbrake switch turning the light on.

If you mean the outside brake lights, it's probably the switch behind the brake pedal.

Check the brake fluid level. A low level will trigger the brake light warning light in your dash. If it is very low, then you should probably have the brakes bled at least. Happy Trails!!!!

it means that it is crossed with another wire and yes it will cost you to get it taken care of because they have to trace wires back and see where it is crossed. and when does it come on? sounds like it may be something real simple like crossed in the tail light with the blinker.
