I have a 99 jeep Grand Cherokee and all gauges work then they stop working, and the PW will stop working then work again? The car starts fine so don't think it's the battery. Also the door locks are working then not, they might work on one side and not the other? All the indicator lights are on like ABS, Check Engine, and the others? tecook@marathonoil.com

its definately a wiring problem. dont try and do it yourself unless you are a mechanic. which i knnow you're not cuz if you were than you would know it was a wiring problem. have a pro do it cuz wires can get very tricky.

gremlins, if you are meticulous you may have a chance against them, usually what you describe is an indicator of ground issues, first , any wire ( anywhere ) you see attached to the body or frame , unscrew the connection and clean the contact surface so it's shiny, re-attach and coat lightly with Vaseline , next, find out how to open your large wiring connections( without breaking the lock ), polish , and spray lightly with wd40 then re- assemble, even if you don't catch them all you may save a bit of $hop time. good luck

i latterly had the comparable situation with my 2002 Grand Cherokee. would desire to be the multifunction swap - this is the stalk turn on the steerage column that controls the turn indicators, headlights, etc. Or would desire to be the relay. In my case it grow to be the relay, and that grow to be after the broking replaced the multifunction swap.
