84 Suburban Silverado
305 (transplant) all smog stuff there
lifted 4x4
I was going to change these out prior to smogging this week but then I thought this year may not even have them, anyone know for sure? also any other tips I should do prior (for smog)? im in calif. So we all know what a pain this could be!

Yes it does. One of the best things to do prior to smog is to change the oil and air filter. Also put in a good, name brand gas before going to get smog done.

Yes they do, right between the manifolds and the exhaust system. I just worked on an 88 that still had them, so I'm sure an 84 would too.

yes 84 does i have a 84 c10 and it does

unless they are leaking , ( very rude exhaust noise from the engine bay ) why do it ? a tune up and a couple of tanks of chevron premium will help a lot

Run high octane gas. Tune up. carb/injector cleaner. New catalytic converter if old or some new one are more effiecient. new air filter.
