I check mine every time I change the oil, which is every 3000 miles.

I check tire pressures on my vehicles once a week, along with checking fluid levels, especially on my wife's car. It's a habit I try to get my customers into as well. I used to run a monthly car clinic at my shop for my customers and I would go over what should be done once a week, a month, etc. Tire pressures, fluid levels at least once a week. Buy a good quality tire guage, not one of those cheap 99 cent ones either, and be sure to check the pressures when the tire is cold, first thing in the morning. As for what pressure the tires should be? Consult your owners manual or the tire pressure placard on the driver's door or "B" pillar. Depending on the vehicle, some tire pressure decals are on the fuel fill door, to remind you to check them when you fill your gas tank.

At a MINIMUM once a month. Tire pressures change over time due to changes in ambient temperate and the slow leakage of air through the carcass of the tire. A typical air pressure drop might be 1 psi/month and 1 psi change per 10-degree change in temperature. Always check the pressures when cold (when the car has not been driven for at least a few hours).

At least once a month. Spend a few $s and invest in a tire pressure gauge from an auto parts store. Check the ownners manual for the correct tire pressure.

I probably do it too much, but I check them every time there has been a significant weather change (re: Temperature drop) or before I go on a trip out of town. I live in a small town, one hour away from the nearest city, and no cell service in between... don't want to have problems.

You should check your tire pressure every oil change (3000 miles), and rotate your tires every other oil change.

At least 1 once every 2-6 months I would say, you can never be too safe!
