Maintenance & Repairs - November 2006

My left front and left back turn signal work fine. My right front signal works but it's blinking twice as fast and my right back signal doesn't work. What needs to be replaced? The bulb? A fuse?

I have a 2005 Ford Focus zx5. Thank you!

I got a 3 step fuel injection service yesterday and when they put the fluid through to clean the intake (injectors?) it cleared out alot of deposits as the exhaust threw out black smoke/exhaust. When they finished with the bottle, there was still black smoke coming from the exhaust, just not as thick/dense. Would it be OK to get that part of the service done again as my engine is idling a bit smoother (though still a bit rough) and I just wanted to know if doing it again would damage anything since it's obviously still dirty.

whata good way to mess someones car up withou making too much noise but causing alot of damage...and no sugar in the gas tank doent do **** i watched em do it on mythbusters..any suggestions?

I removed the center bolt from the harmonic balancer and put the puller on. I am trying to hold the harmonic balancer with a strap wrench to keep it from turning while tighting the puller even put a pipe on breaker bar no luck. What am I doing wrong ?
I need to finish today

This morning my car wouldn't start. I turned the ignition and nothing happened. The starter didn't turn over...nothing. All of the lights worked. I tried a few more times and then it started.

Could this be a problem with my starter, a failing battery, ignition or something else?

I assumed that a starter just all of a sudden went out without any signs.

This car is a '98 with 103k miles.

I was driving my car,when suddenly it began lossing power...so I watched the dashboard looking for any signal...and the oil pressure indicator dropped off...and my car didn't start again...what happened? THANKS

Blower just stopped while in use at level II. Levels III and IV still operate. Level 1 stopped a year or so ago. Anyone know whether this is simple to fix.

I like old cars, preferably the 60's but it is a 2 door that sat for 20+ YEARS. there are no brakes, interior has the mildew smell seats are not rippred. the motor is frozen for now. The body is excellent with extra parts in the trunk. side glass has a crack, it is missing minor trim. is it worth $3000? would i go wrong if i cant get this project of the ground?

when i use the car as normal, i lose about half a litre per 100 km. Short trips .... everything is fine. pressure tested reveals good pressure. new radiator cap fitted . Any one got any idea,s.

I have a 85 chevy monte carlo w/ 305 cid eng. and 350 turbo trans. I have potiential when reving but when in gear theres great potiential loss. i want to know is there any reason why iam being disappointed besides needing to get a bigger engine or boring over the 305 what are other possible ways of getting better performance without going BROKE. the engines rebuilt and the trans has less than 100,ooo miles.

I've given up on trying to fix the dash of my car. I already know it will be about a grand to replace so that's out. It's an 89 grand am.. not really worth that kind of money. So, my question is NOT HOW TO FIX IT.. but rather, is there another way I can tell how fast I'm going. Is there something I can buy that will tell me my speed? I'm not really worried about not being able to see the fuel gage or anything but I'm constantly nervous that my guesstimations are incorrect when I'm driving ( especially when there's no traffic around me) Anyone know of a cool gadget that could help me out?

my engine light came on (i just had an egr replaced because it was on) and it stayed on and then would start blinking for a while and then stay on. it was like that the whole way home (about 5 miles). what could this mean and why did it keep blinking like that- when the egr needed replaced it just stayed on.
