I have built an engine stand (for a school project). I used A36 steel and would like to paint it black for looks and for rust protection. What is the best way (and best products) to do this? I'm using a degreaser to clean the oil (from the cutting) off now...and do I need to prime before painting? Thanks!

Yes i have a 1989 Ford Thunder Bird . I can't get the turning signal to work. I have checked the fuse under the steering column, it is not blown. I chech the path way of the circuit, it work also. The bulbs in the front light up also in the back, But still the left and right signal don't work. Unless you have the light on, then you can make the front flash manualy. The Four Way flashers, work on the front and back. Thier one problem down.

Certain up-and-down motions on the front end of the truck cause a squeek from the front driver side wheel well. Not sure if it could be the shocks or something else. Anyone have an idea what it could be before I take it in for service?

I have a 96 civic and it won't start in the morning when it is cold, 25-35 degrees outside temp. After the day gets going and it warms up, the car starts fine. It always cranks at a good speed and the plugs were just changed.

I have take the thermostat out and left it out. However it still overheats and in fact the heat still works which it should not when the thermostat is out. It is not leaking. I have checked and the system is definately not leaking. I am at my wits end. It overheats fairly quickly. However there are some days that if you drive it for about 20-30 miles the tempature gauge will go back down to normal. After that it doesn't overheat until you turn the car off. When you restart the car, it will start overheating again. Any idea's would be great. Thanks

Our Pathfinder was knocking pretty bad, like it needed oil, but everytime we checked the oil, the dipstick read that we were full. It started getting really bad, and I finally decided to put a quart in to see if it would help, it did, no more knocking, my question is, could we have been reading the wrong dipstick, (they are hard to find on this vehicle) it was right by the place where you dump the oil, but it only reads hot/cold... or is there such a thing as a messed up dipstick? Ithink it is a 1997
