I think the leak is coming from the windshield, but maybe I wil get lucky and find it is plugged drain holes. I will by spraying water oin it soon. Finally got the inside off the truck dry since we have not had rain in a few days, but it will rain tomorrow. Ideas? What is a good fix? A windshield repair place will not touch it due to rust. Was thinking silicon. Anyone have experience with Ranger leaks? Please advise!

I have posted this question here before, but I recently got a different perspective from the Toyota dealer in town, and I wanted to verify. They said that Toyota has a built in filter and so, they do not necessarily recommend doing a full transmission flush all the time. Just draining and refilling the fluid every 15000 miles will suffice. My service station had told me that the fluid had become dark, and the Toyota people said that the Toyota fluid is by nature darker than most transmission fluids. Toyota has a Transmission service for 50 bucks and the full flush at the local mechanics is $125 and Toyota full flush is $160. Yet, Toyota says that the 50$ ATF change is sufficient. Any thought comments, suggestions?

I may have to drive for several miles to visit family over Christmas. Part of the way may be clear (200 miles), but part of the way may be icy (400 miles). Will it damage my tires to leave the snow chains on the entire way?

I have 2001 chevy s10 and I am trying to change the coils spring, front and rear shocks and the leaf springs. I am pretty handy when it comes to automotive repairs but never changed those items. Is it something I should attempt on my own.

Hi, my dad's a mechanic and says that anytime a blank work order is signed, the customer must pay for all work done to the auto; even unnecessary work. Is this true with dealerships as opposed to private garages? Is there any recourse that the customer can take?
Thanks.

- Central locking not working
- Hazard lights working
- When trying to turn on it makes noise different to normal

Hi, this morning (the car was idle for 3 days) the central locking of the car was not working, but I had to unlock the doors one-by-one. Then I couldnt not start the car. It made a noise but different to the one it usually makes when turning on the car.

Is it difficult to replace a fuel injector fuel filter on a car? It doesnt seem that hard, just a few precautions. The only doubts i have are possible leaks and the pressure the fuel is under. Is it worth paying a garage to do it?

This morning my 1998 Chevy Tracker didn't want to start... and this was the 1st time this has ever happened. I turned the key and the engine sounded like it tried to turn over once or twice, then a strange high pitch to low pitch wheeze happened and it wasn't trying to turn over anymore... I kept at it.. and the same thing happened over and over.. then... it started... and ran fine all the way to work - over 15 miles. When I got to work I shut it off then tried to start it up again and the same wheeze happened... sounds like the starter???

I slid on some dry ice in my truck and hit the wall on the side of the highway. There is no damage to the body of the car, but one of the front wheels is at an angle now. It is not drivable. It definately looks like metal is bent somewhere back there. I hit the wall so hard that the threads on the bolts on the tire are pulled out on a few of them and they won't screw back on all the way. Its just all bent and messed up. Since it looks like a "frame" problem, how much do things liek this usually cost to fix?
