I own a 1998 Nissan Quest van,and I cant get any heat at all! The van is in good working order but only cold air comes from the heater system. When the van is going more than 2000 rpm I get luke warm air but under that rpm only cold! I gave replaced the thermastat 3 times trying to fix the problem and this week I even coverd 100% of the radiator atempting to make the engin run hotter with no results it wont even over heat with the whole radiator blocked.There are no leaks at all anywhere the blower works good the AC works great but no heat! I live in A place where -50 is comen so I dont want to get frostbite so someone please help!!!! The van has both front and rear heat but neather works at all. The dealer told me that there is no heater controll valve in this model so I dont know what to do.

Have you tried to back flush the heater core, it may be stopped up. First using a thermometer, check the coolant in the radiator to make sure it's reaching operating temp. Grasp the heater hoses with both hands. If one is cold and the other is hot, water is not circulating in the heater core. Remove the heater hoses. Using a garden hose. connect to the outlet side of the core and back flush it with water pressure. If a lot of stuff comes out, that is your problem. If that's OK, the problem lies in the duct work and will be harder to fix. A qualified tech should be used.

there should be some kind of valve that let coolant from engine to heater core....ck that first.

usually you can find that valve in engine compartment on passenger side by firewall and follow two coolant hose
