I just purchased a "04 PT and was wondering if it is a good vehicle. It has 20K miles. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanx

They are actually decent vehicles. As with any though, be sure to follow the proper maintenance schedule on it. A BIG thing that many forget is to "flush and fill" the cooling system. If I could pick one most neglected item on any car, it would probably be that! Neglected coolant will lead to engine corrosion, and gasket failure.
I do think the PT's look like a mini hearse though!

I don't own one but I backed into one at about 3 mph and it caused over $1000 in damage for a dent about the size of a 50 cent piece! All they are is a Dodge Neon with a different body on it. I wouldn't buy one........imagine getting in an accident in something like that?!!

I've had good and bad reports on the car. As with any used car, anything can happen. I wouldn't worry about it. Just drive and be happy. If something does happen, just have it fixed.

I dont know, but you want to know what mechsnics call them? Part Time Cruisers, because they dont always work right. So I would expect more than you have had with anyother car!

My mom bought hers new in 2002 and hasn't had a problem. A car is only as good as YOU take care of it.
