Can I legally replace my LT1 with a ZZ572ci, in my 1995 Chevy Impala SS? The ZZ572 is carburated and the LT1 is EFI. How do I get past the smog deal? Is there a ZZ572 EFI ?

depends on the state. Here in South West Virgina we only have safety checks.. anything goes...In calf. mass, ny, NJ. you almost have to run stock unless parts pass the calf air research board..Many turbos and superchargers do. and you can get the 572 with fi but it costs a butt load!
