I think that he may like me..so i stopped going there...every now and then i see him when driving by and i try to look the other way. He started this right after my hubby got deployed. I always offer to pay but he wanted to cut discount. My hubby thinks he is great..i didn't say how uncomfortable he makes me feel. I just stopped going there.

i own a repair shop, and there's always something that i repair on someones vehicle and don't charge them for it,especially if its a small thing,, but a lot of mechanics do this,,with me i cant stand to see a bulb out or a light not working on any vehicle so i always repair all the exterior lights on one when i got it in the shop working on it,with other mechanics it may be other things, but as far as getting things repaired i have no problems with that part of it,maybe your mechanic is just a little slower than some of the rest,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

i'm a mechanic, i'm a soldier, and i'm deployed. if you want my honest opinion, he's probably just trying to help a deployed soldier out. and it's true, some mechanics will fix small problems for free. so as long as he doesn't ask you out or offer to do a major repair for free, i'd just smile and be happy.

I always repair minor things for free, as well as top off all fluids, including windshield wiper fluid., What I hate is when someone declines a repair, then comes in and say's you should have repaired something major while you had it there.

It would be strange if he always got the job done....
As it is, you get what you pay for...
