The water pump, thermostat and head gaskets have recently been replaced and there is still no heat.

Check for loose or broken vacuum hoses. Make sure the off/on valve is working. If the heater core is stopped up, back flush it using a garden hose. Disconnect the heater hoses and attach the garden hose to the outlet nozzle to back flush. To see if water is circulating through the core, hold both hoses in your hand. If one is hot and the other cold, it's not circulating. In that case, the core is either stopped up or the valve that lets water circulate through the core isn't working. Cold weather is coming, better hurry. Hope this helps.

I don't think there is a valve on any newer American made auto. This taurus probably just has a blend door to change the air from flowing over the heater core to the A/C cooler. It's either cable or vacuum controlled, and you should be able to see either the cable or vacuum diaphragm by looking under the dash along the ducts. Vacuum types are spring loaded to shut in one direction, probably cold.

maybe your heater core is blocked it has a design simmiler to a radiator in the front of your car

you have an air pocket in the system, in other words you need to bleed the system of air.............or you have another problem.
