I have seen many Tdi vehichles do this. especially landrover. they all had alloy heads with very fine cracks that only open when vehicle gets over a certain temperature. these cracks are undetectable by pressure test. these only show up with a dye check. which means removing the head. this is very expensive. i hope for you sake that you find out it is something simpler and less costly

mark thei is on the ball the problem will get worse in time and to me it is a head gasket or head crack problem to

one way to check if all results come back normal that is have the radiator cap of in gear with brake on hard rev it to load engine but not to much so you move or do a burn out but enough to give the engine a hard time if manuel ride clutch when hot only
look for bubbles as the flexing toque twists the engine and head in a way that the cracks with open up (coolent lose on acceration)

Pressure check your cooling system when it's warm. If there are cracks anywhere, they will leak more when warm.

You shouldn't be pulling a car unless your front vehicle is tow package equipped.

How big is the 'van you are trying to tow? It might simply be stressing the engine too much. You will lose coolant if it's running hot enough to boil.

You shouldn't be losing any coolant at all. You have a major problem, besides pulling a trailer with 4 cylinder diesel.
