My left front and left back turn signal work fine. My right front signal works but it's blinking twice as fast and my right back signal doesn't work. What needs to be replaced? The bulb? A fuse?

I have a 2005 Ford Focus zx5. Thank you!

Right rear bulb and possibly the same socket. Check the socket for corrosion,,;-)=

Blinking twice as fast on one side is an indication of a problem with the load of electrical current. Most of the current goes to the right front bulb. That is the reason why it is blinking fast. Simple solution is to replace the bulb. My advice, replace the bulb in pairs. My reason for that is, if one bulb is not working, the other one will fail in the future.

A fuse is replace if all of the turn signal is not working.
A turn signal relay is replace if all of the turn signal is blinking fast at the same time.

My first indication would be to look if all the bulbs are working by turning on the hazard blinkers. If all the bulbs are working, yet they are still blinking too fast, your turn signal relay is damaged and needs to be replaced. 99% of the time, it's a bad bulb, which can be easily found in any auto parts store like R&S Strauss or Sears.

You probably have 2 things happen here. Your back light bulb may be burnt out and need to be changed. Try changing this bulb first and see if it works, if it does not work, then there is a possibility you have a short circuit to your right single wire system. When a light flashes faster than the other bulbs tend to indicate a short circuit in the system.

Consult your owners manual to locate the relay for your turn signals. It's usually in the fuse block under the dash. Pull the relay and test it or drive the car with it off and see if it still makes the noise. Keep in mind that you will not have your turn signals working and you can get a ticket for turning or changing lanes without giving the proper signal. If it's still making the same noise, then obviously it's something else. If it went away, replace the relay.

You have a burned-out bulb. Some bulbs have more than one filament. Have someone stand outside your car as you use the turn signals, stop lights, and tail lights. Be sure they look at the front lights as well as the back lights. They'll spot it.

One of your right side bulbs is burnt out. Put your turn indicator on and take a look. Change the bulb that doesn't light up.

The bulb

It blinks rapidly to let you know that there is a blown bulb. turn your key to on and make the turn sign. blink and look and see if the bulb in the front is blinking or the one in the rear.

the one that doesn't blink is the one that's blown.

More than likely just the bulb, but keep an eye on it if, if it starts acting up again you could have a short somewhere
