Fuel pump has good flow. (I put a hose on the fuel line at the filter into a plastic bottle.)

I changed the filter yesterday. It was filthy and had some water in it.

The fuel pump turns on briefly (2 seconds)when I turn the key to the on position.

If I try to start it, it does start every time. (for about two seconds, then dies.

I can hear the relay click "off"

The fuse is good on the firewall by the relay. (I looked)

I'm at a loss and I could spend the time troubleshooting the problem, but I'm hoping someone allready has had this problem and knows what the fix is, and they would be so kind as to share it with me.

I have a car I have not driven in some time now. I occasionally - like monthly - start it but this last ime it was no go. Running jumpers so the spark was there and it wanted to start with a bit of ether but would not keep on. So I'm thinking the fuel has maybe turned to sludge? Any other possible causes and what do you if it is sludge in the fuel?

So I changed my water pump, and in the process i took off the fuel pressure regulator, because i thought it was in my way. When putting EVERYTHING back i could not find the Bolt (union bolt-like a bleeder screw) that goes on top of the regulator. So I needed the car and got a bolt that fits the size, and I drilled holes to the bolt, for temporary use, but i believe not enough fuel was being delivered. I drive the car and its idling rough, and is using a lot of gas. I driven the car for about 200 miles, and I finally went to get the right bolt at the dealership. I put this bolt in its place, and drive the car around, and its the same. What would cause the car to idle back and use up a lot of gas? Please help.

I have replaced my fuel pump a week ago because my dodge carvan 2000 would not start. After the pump was replaced it was running rough and the oil light was coming on with the bell warning sound. I checked the oil and it seemed to be about a quart low which I replaced. Still the oil alarm kept coming on. I was told I needed a tune up. Replace spark splugs and oil change and filter. The van during starting would make a sound like it was not going to turn over until it finally didn't turn over. I was told I needed a new battery which was replaced and now the car will not start at all. Then I was told the starter had burned out due to turn over .Starter was replaced and the car did not start. There is plug hanging from the starter that no one seem to know what it plugged up to. I was told that this was a diagnostic plug. Where do this plug belong ?
What can start the car?

A few days ago I went out to start the car. I had started up the car and went in side for several minutes. When we got back to the car and began driving it, the car began making a deep rumbling noise and minor vibrations. This hasn't stopped and been very consistent. It hasn't been worse or better. The noise is obvious, sound like a constant rumble along with a vibration feeling in the car. The check engine light remains on. Any ideas what's wrong here? If so, any idea how much it would cost to get fixed? Additionally there are more prominent vibration/noises when switching gears(this is an automatic car)

i took it to the shop today and all he said i needed was to replace the cap from the coolant tank. I'm a bit skeptical! My dad replaced the fan motor about a year ago but i fear that is giving me a problem again. I drive long distances on freeways and while im driving, my car is fine, its once im stuck in traffic and idle that te temp starts rising. i'm hope im worng about all this in that it truly was just that cap. is it at all possible that the fan wouldnt run becuase of the effects that cap caused? please help! my father is no longer a part of my life and i need all the advice i can get. Thanks so much

Okay well I have fixed my other problems.. cut wires from ecu. Now my mechanic found that he put water in my gas tank. He said he has to drian it. After he does that should my car be fine? I only got it to run about 3 min trying to get it to start before I had found out what was wrong. Do you think that could have cause enough water to get in my cylinders?

My 1991 Honda Accord recently starting flashing the seatbelt alert light on the dashboard, and making a beeping alert noise, even when my seatbelts are fastened. My seatbelts are fully functional, and it seems to be a problem with just the seatbelt alert wiring. I would like to disarm the alert by disconnecting wires going to the seatbelt alert box, however, I cannot seem to find a wiring schematic that would tell me which wires to disconnect. Does anyone know which wires I need to cut? Or is there another simple solution to my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the beeping noise is really starting to get annoying!!! Thank you very much!

Or can leaks be fixed by replacing individual parts? It runs just fine when it has transmission fluid in it. But it is rapidly leaking. I do not have the money for a whole new transmission - plus it's ten years old and not worth the $ or effort.

Exactly as the question states. My parents are handling the situation becuase i'm overseas right now. But I guess because the check engine light doesn't come on it can't pass the state inspection. Is there any type of fuse or something that might be blown? I've been told it could just be a light bulb too but changing the bulb requires paying for the work to tear out and put back in the dash board. Anyone have some help?
