Gearhead is 100% correct... after a few months, the manufacturer can buy back the car but will take allowences for use and such like that to the fact that you would be basically trading the car in on another. No free rides and the manufacturer will send out it's best techs to fix your car before they buy back (and they will replace whole pieces of your car at their expense first).. Basically it's up to the manufacturer on what they will do with the car.

And once it's out of the basic warranty (usually 3/36) only way I've seen a manufacturer buy back a car was when the cost of fixing it was more than the actual car was worth (and that was for a recall where the problem the recall was supposed to fix happened)

Need more info. Is your car new or old? What is the problem?
Pretty much any car that has a problem it can be fixed in some way but not back to it original form. It will cost YOU money to fix it.
Dealerships will "offer" you another car to buy & probably take your car in as a trade-in. They won't automatically give you another car just because they can't fix it.

it has to meet certain criteria for how many times in the 1st 6 months of the car's life it has been back to the dealer for the same repair/or how many days it has consecutively been at the dealership to be repaired without success. it basically goes something like this,(it varies form state to state) 30 consecutive days at the dealer or (this is the part i'm a little vague on) 4 times back for the same repair . the 6 month period is the key. if it's more than 6 months old,or if you aren't the original buyer, forget about a buyback. best bet is to make them fix it, then trade it after you are satisfied that it has been fixed. if it's real obvious about many repairs, they will be most happy to give you a wonderful deal on a different car.

Yes. Go to the sales department and tell them you would like to buy a new car. They will show you several models and you must decide what you like. Then, you put money down on the vehicle and secure financing. It is really not that hard to do. Maybe have your parents or guardian go with you.
