must be start circuit as the main fuse is blowing. only cables are positive terminal to starter motor. explains poor start. it may be starter motor terminal shorting to earth(-). check cable insulation. you could check alternator as that may be arcing to earth explaining poor charge

Yep i know what u have to do, it will be expensive unless you can find a garage that especially deal with vauxhall apart from vauxhall themselves. They have the right gear to check ur management system. VAuxhaull are renowned for their 'electrical' faults. Had huge probs with mine and i know just how ur feeling, big time.

A Vauxhall Brava?! You've got a cut and shut job; half Vauxhall and half Fiat! No wonder it doesn't go.

I want to say that I would check the alternator but it would help to know what to fuse was for that blew.

appears like the solenoid no longer working exact provide it a belt with a hammer and see if it is going to artwork. otherwise take your starter off and take it to an motor vehicle electrician who will try it for you.
