I own a 1988 Mazda B2200 pickup. If it sits for two days or more the battery becomes dead with no juice to start it. I have installed a new battery and checked the alternator and it charges at 13.90 volts. I take the battery connections off and on and there is no spark showing a short. How do I find the short in the electrical system. would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks in advance Doug

2001 Town&Country van. I'm guessing from research I've done today that the problem is with the shift/brake lock feature. My question is, is there an override switch for it somewhere on this particular model so we can drive it to a garage? It's difficult to find a mechanic on a weekend, especially at a dealer. I've read that some cars have this feature.

Someone punched in my passenger side tail light on my Saturn Ion and now I have to spend $80-$90 to replace it. (I'm not going to report it to my insurance b/c the deductible is more than the cost to replace it.) Has this happened to anyone else here? Why do people do this to someone they don't even know? This sucks.

I just bought an 04 Nissan Sentra about 4 weeks ago and my partner bought an 05 Nissan Sentra about 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks after I bought mine I started having a porblem where about every other time I tryed to start the car it would not start the first attempt. But after waiting a few seconds it would start just fine. Now my partners car is doing the same thing. We purchased the cars at diffrent dealers and we use diffrent brands of gas. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

It seems to be coming from condensation from the engine but we can't find where it is coming from and therefore how to fix it. Anyone else ever have this happen? Any help would be appreciated.

What can be causing this.
It starts first time in the morning. If I drive even for 10 minutes and turn the engine off then it will not start again for an hour or 2 untill it has completely cooled off.

Any Ideas?

Is it necessarry to jack one side up? And do you need new rocker arm nuts, or is there a way to keep the old ones from backing off?

my engine is running hot, it was overhauled just a short while ago,
the water is up, I changed the thermostat, one odd thing is that
the temp. gauage reads normal but when I put on a remote infra red temp. sensor it reads 210 to 220 after going around the block
several times. when I put on the head gaskets I know that the
notation front is up front on the head gaskets. It is about 90 degrees here today but the engine should not run much more than
200 degrees, the engine has never boiled over just shows hot
when I use the hand held temp. reader.
any ideas? bob

the engine at idle revs up to around 1200 and drops down to normal idle, 700 or so. The charge light is on but its charging at least a little bit. I took the positive wire off at my friends advice to check and the engine died so he is saying the alternator is bad. Could anyone tell me any ideas on why it is doing this and if the alternator is really bad? Thanks in advance for any help
