I'm sure the R19 16v had rear discs.

If not, consider using components from a Mk1 Mégane 2.0 16v, which should be simpler to fit to an R19 than anything from any other Renault, as the Mk1 Mégane platform was derived from that of the R19. The Mégane II has a completely new platform, with a different rear suspension system.

You might be able to modify something from a Clio 16v or Williams, or a Clio II 172 or 182. The Clio III has a different rear suspension system.

I own a 250bhp Lexus and would strongly urge you to do a proper sport brake conversion, I took big disc Brembos, fully supplied and fitted set me back just shy of £750 but I do stop on a dime when needed! This is a really important factor when upping the power and performance of any car. There are loads of other makes for sports parts, good luck with the project, would never catch me rallying my Lex!

Try looking into Renault Clio V6 Sport. This will feature Rear discs, i'm pretty sure of that. I know the Espace does too.

For rallying i'd get a quote on what a proffessional build system will cost!

Good Luck.

type R-19 Renault into your browser Andre's car and others, car clubs are good way to know what you can do. Or better yet contact the racing team, the WRC cars are specially perpaired but you might find out parts suppliers. Like Stop Tech. Baer Brakes, ARP brakes
