the noise is like a rattling noise when i put it into reverse. It stops doing it in neutral but does it during fast acceleration too.

it does it when i put it into reverse. it stops making noise in neutral but starts again during fast acceleration. it sounds like its coming from the lower engine compartment

It could possibly be chipped teeth from your flywheel/flexplate, or more likely (seeing as it's a VW) your warranty expiring.

Dont you have mechanics in your area ask one . they will only charge you if they have to do work but you can take the car and show him and ask what is doing this. Man leave the house allready

Bad trani. you might still have a warenty or there might be a recall for that.
