Smoke coming out of vents when A/C is on, also came out some this morning without A/C on.

..I messed up the brakes on my car really bad.. so bad it locked up on me and i had to get it towed. I messed up the rotars, the brake pads for sure. what else is it that usually gets messed up and needs work on (or replaced) when u mess up the brakes badly enough???? (forgive me for i am female and know squat about this crap haha lol)

While I was driving my Nissa Altima 1995 car, suddenly the brake light and the battrey light came on, the steering wheel got stiff and the brake also was not pumping( got stiff). The motor keeping running, the car slowly stopped. I switched off the engine and after a few minutes I switched on the engine, then the car was ok. Then I immediatly took to a mechanic and he couldn't get the problem. But I checked the brake fluid and power steering fluid-ok. But after two days the same problem occured. What would be the problem and the solution? Thank you in advance for your kind help.

I have spots, or pits on my car. I waxed it a couple of weeks ago, but maybe I didn't do a good enough job. The same spots appear on my windshield as well. No matter how much windex or other windo cleaner I use, they don't go away....any suggestions?

Hi,

Lately, my car was making a rubbing sound when I turned left, now, however it doesn't it sometimes when I back up or even when I being to drive. My car is a 2002 chevy cavalier 2.2 engine and has 30000 miles on it. I have looked and do not see anything that could be dragging. I thought it could be the plastic valance at the front rubbing on the curves but I can hear it also when I go into a driveway with a hill or even it's just a little higher. My service light did come on but it hasn't come on again but my theft system light did come on once as well.

Any suggestions? My financial situation is tenuous and I need to know just how big of a problem this is before I see someone.

So i recently bought a 00' ford mustang and i hear a funny sound when im driving...only at slow speeds tho, not when im braking. It sounds like a high squeak and its very repetitive. It doesnt do it when i get up to 50+ and it doesnt do it when im braking..a friend told me its my CV JOINTS.

What can i do to stop that squeak? Id prefer to do it myself. And what are cv joints?

About a week or two before it died (just shut off while at a light) it would kind of "skip" when idling and the rpm would drop for a split second.
All of the lights and electronics work inside...
There's gas and oil in the car.

Okay so here's the situation

I recently bought a 2000 ford mustang from a small-time dealership. It is in great condition overall, but there is one problem. The previous owner lowered the car so it is about 2 inches off the ground.

So when im driving my exhaust scrapes the ground (when i go over bumps..even the smallest bumps)

Last night i took a look at it and it turns out the whole exhaust system is simply hanging..theres no support brackets or anything. How expensive would it be to get the brackets to support it?

Also..how expensive would it be to raise the car 2 inches or so? The previous owner seemed to have cut a leaf or two of the springs, making it shorter, so im gonna need completely new springs.
