I have a 1989 cadillac sedan de ville, which had no noticeable problems...and then, all of a sudden one day, it started dripping excessive amounts of water from the tailpipe and overheating.....and now I cant travel over 2 miles without having to refill the radiator with water, even if I just let the car sit and run idling, I can see water shooting out of the tailpipe......what could be the problem??

I have a 2006 Lincoln Navigator with the power running board that is supposed to "glide out" when the doors are opened. It is now sometimes not coming out at all and when it does, it makes a horrible sound. My dealer can't get me in for service until next week. I do have knowledge of automotive repair and have done many repairs on other cars, so if you can tell me what to do I am sure I can accomplish it. Thanks!

I have a jittering sound coming from my front end(primarily left side). I have replaced the struts on both sides, outer tie rods both sides, maint guy says no need for the inner tie rods to be replaced. Had it alligned, still jittery but not clangy if you get what I'm saying here. makes jittery/rubbing sound when making left turns, no obstruction or rubbing happening in the wheel well. What can I check out or do to tighten up this jittery issue? Thanks

The truck runs as long as you have the wire between the computer and the distributor unplugged. If you plug it in the truck floods and backfirers and dies and shoots gas out the tbi?

Its a 1983 GMC pickup with a 350. It clicks one time when I turn the key. It was starting occassionally for a while now just clicking. The starter tested out ok, lights/radio work, cleaned battery terminals, replaced old battery ground, tightened connections at starter and now I'm not sure what to check?

Five fan settings, not including OFF position. Settings 1 and 2 work 70 percent of the time. 3 and 4 work 15 percent of the time. 5 always works. I've replaced the blower motor, blower motor resistor, and the entire panel itself with the knobs and buttons. Open to suggestions on how to regain total control over fan settings, thanks.

both radi. and cond. fans operate correctly when A/C is on---relay and fans are therefore fine, engine overheating though, I have already replaced the radiator fan switch, no difference made by replacing this part, do I have a wiring prob between the switch and the fan? Fuses are all fine, under the hood and otherwise. What is the ECM and do I need to have that checked out by a shop? Thanks

took the vehicle in again, put on computer, the same problem noted on the computer with the egr valve, then #4 cyclinder misfiring, replaced the spark plug, engine light went off for 20 miles, ran rough, put a bolt in to disconnect the valve, ran much better, replaced the egr valve again as was told it was the spring, service engine light off for 10 miles, ran rough, put the bolt in again. Better gas mileage with the bolt in the valve, but service engine light still on. Took to another mechanic, computer says the same, he hooked up the valve, admitted it that it ran rough, thought there was an air leak in the valve, clamped that, as tack was now jumping around, and couldn't hardly keep the vehicle running when slowing down for stop lights. Vehicle runs fine, took it back, had the mechanics hook the valve back on, clear the computer, vehicle ran terrible, service engine light came back on after 2 miles. Put the bolt back on, service engine light on, vehicle runs okay. Any ideas?
