Thanks all for your helpfull answers but still confeaused! i have tryed by the screw driver trick on the solenoid, with the new battery and everything it still wont click? lights do all work now!
ov also tryed banging the starter with a hammer?? its a manual transmission. thanks to all of you again!

Have you checked to see if your battery cables are not spliced anywhere or damaged by oil leaks. Your battery and starter are linked together and if you have a good starter and new battery I would suspect bad battery cables.

If you tried to jump the selinoid and it did not "click" then you have a bad starter selinoid. If the selinoid made a clicking sound then you have a bad starter. Good luck. There is also a safety switch on the clutch but when you jump the selinoid this switch is bypassed.

have a friend pull start the truck and pop the clutch in second gear then you know its stater related have key in on position!! if that doesn't work ask for me i'll walk you through it!!

Take a easy with your tools, call your local garage and ask them ask some of your guy friends

replace the starter and check all the grounds
