With the hood up, looking at the engine from the front of the car,the water pump is mounted to a housing that is just below the alternator on the passenger side of the vehicle. You must remove the serpentine belt and water pump drive pulley. The water pump should be removed with the water pump adaptor housing, and then remove the water pump from the housing on the work bench. There are four bolts that hold the housing to the engine. One of which holds the alternator adusting bracket. If you do the repair this way there is no need to remove the timing belt. Hope this helps.

The most simple way, follow the bottom radiator hose.
The water pump is at the front of the engine (near the belt)
