Sorry but there isn't much online that you are going to get for free that I would trust. Remember you get what you pay for. It takes a great deal of experience and training to be able to diagnose automobiles, and those who can aren't going to do it for free. They all have mouths to feed and rent to pay, not to mention the tool bills.
However, if you want a source for diagnostic codes, try this---->
http://www.obdii.com/

When you get what you are looking for, remember these codes are not going to lead you to a component, but the component's circuit. There are many other things that can contribute to a trouble code than a defective component.
I suggest that you go to the library and spend some time there in the REFERENCE section, or on their computer databases (ALLDATA or Mitchell On-Demand) and follow the prescribed course of diagnostics and repair.
OR you can do the same thing online for a subscription here---->

Good Luck

www.autozone.com they have a repair section where it is an online version of the chilton manuals. I go there and look up how to repair my vehicle and it gives codes and what they mean. When at www.autozone.com click on Repair Info on the left side of the screen and then click on Vehicle Repair Guides (also left side). You will have to put in your car info. Hope this helps.
